Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp smoked paprika
- 2 cups chopped lettuce (optional, for serving)
- Diced tomatoes (optional, for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, cook the bacon until crisp. Remove, crumble, and set aside.
- Drain most of the bacon fat, leaving about 1 tablespoon. Add diced onion and garlic; sauté until translucent.
- Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Stir 1 cup of shredded cheddar into the ground beef mixture until melted.
- Transfer the beef mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Pour the cream mixture over the top.
- Sprinkle crumbled bacon, followed by the remaining cheddar cheese, over the top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let the casserole sit for a few minutes before serving. Optionally, top with lettuce and tomatoes.
