  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked bacon, chopped
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, and eggs. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Stir in the mushrooms, Swiss cheese, chopped bacon, onion, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  4. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the prepared pan.
  5. Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  7. Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
